a rainy tea party.

I've been a very bad blogger lately :/ My main excuse is having glandular fever, which is a terrible little sickness , making you tired all the time + giving you the most horrific sore throat. Agh! Anyways, I'm back. And to celebrate, these are some photos of an impromptu rainy tea party I shared with my friend Naomi. It was lovely....just very wet. Looking forward to hearing what you lovelies have been up to lately!
PS: I start my first REAL job on monday; as a legal secretary. So very laa di daaah!

You've got the love I need to see me through.

These are just some of the amazing photos (a mix of film, lomo and digital) that captured the night of "Cosmic Wilderness" that was my 18th birthday party. My best friend Jocelyn and I spent the afternoon setting up our little slice of wild, taking inspiration from Florence and the Machine's 'Dog Days Are Over' film clip with a bit of manic streamer throwing, fairy lights, hanging stars, and lots of tunes to keep things going. While with the help of some vodka and our new best friend Mr passion pop , you can say the night lived up to it's name and expectation; a truly WILD experience.

Florence and the Machine- 'Cosmic Love'
A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes
I screamed aloud,
as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind
The stars, the moon,
they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day,
I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
And in the dark,
I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped,
and I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became
The stars, the moon,
they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day,
I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
I took the stars
from our eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my
way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you
The stars, the moon, they have all
been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in
this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
The stars, the moon, they have
all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always
in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

a night of 'cosmic wilderness'

Hello lovelies of the blogging world, I'm quite excited today to share with you my inspiration for a small party I'm having this weekend, in celebration of my birthday. The theme is "Cosmic Wilderness", a sort of 'Galaxy' meets 'Where The Wild Things Are', general madness! Here are some pictures which have inspired the event, as well as Florence and the Machine's crazy film clip; 'Dog Days are Over' which is a wealth of colourful cosmic delights set amongst a backdrop of forest fun.

Come and enter a cosmic wilderness wonderland with me...

birthday blues.

Today I turned eighteen, and I must admit it's been quite an unremarkable day as far as birthday's go.
Yet, I think the wild adventures of last night, which involved much exploring of the wonders of adulthood, sort of makes up for it.
Yay.

Almost eighteen, She's a swingin' queen. Almost eighteen, Oh what a lovely dream!

So in light of the fact that this is my last week on this earth as a legal 'child'... I thought I would delight your eyes with a few beautiful photos which remind me of the joys ( and tragedies, ha!) of being young, wild, and perhaps a little...childish.

Almost Eighteen a lot of sugar and lace
Almost Eighteen with an angel face
She says I'm her kind of guy
and if I leave her she'll die uh uh
....

Almost eighteen, a ribbon in her hair
Almost eighteen, my baby's young and fair
0h-oh, I'll never let her go
Because, oh i love her so, oh-oh
....

Almost eighteen, She's a swingin' queen
Almost eighteen, oh what a lovely dream
Until the end of time
My baby's mine, all mine, uh-uh

Almost Eighteen
Almost Eighteen
Almost Eighteen
Almost Eighteen

the magic of words.

" Words, mere words! How terrible they were! How clear, and vivid, and cruel! One could not escape from them. And yet what subtle magic there was in them! ....Mere words, was there anything so real as words?"
